This chick reminds me of Whatever it Takes or Tracy and The Plastics circa 2002. Farah has preserved the naughty, nonchalant, sarcastic, and humorous lyricism of early 2000s electroclash, while keeping the music up to date and on par with the rest of the Italians Do It Better family. According to her myspace profile she resides in Texas and claims her music sounds like “Persian love songs.” However, some of her critics would differ and instead describe her sound as: “Heavy Italo disco synths mixed with Balearic disco elements. This really does sound like 1985 italo, but it in a good way.” She’s come out with a few 12″ and worked with Johnny (From Glass Candy) on a remix, but I haven’t seen any new stuff in a hot minute. Nevertheless, she’s still fun to listen to.
