Toulouse’s Thierry Moreira, Nicolas Sentenac, Henning Specht aka Hypnolove are releasing a new album titled “Ghost Carnival” (click to purchase) on May 13th. I’m particularly interested in this one as one of my fav disco personalities Mickey Moonlight (Ed Banger) produced the whole thing. “Come to My Empire” is the first single off the LP, it includes an amazing remix by Moonlight himself as well as mixes by Bufi & La Royale, Arpanet, and Turzi. … MORE

Dude Skywalker – “Feel Good” EP
Nightdrive Miami and Fordistas XII have been silently working on this very exciting project for the past couple months and now is the time to officially divulge what we’ve been up to.
One of the best parts about being in South Florida is the tremendous cultural momentum we’re experiencing, not only in the visual and performing arts, but in music as well. So naturally when new and innovative producers and musicians come along with strong Miami roots, we feel obligated to showcase Miami’s emerging talent. With that said, it’s our pleasure to introduce to you Dude Skywalker, three Miami locals and best friends with a passion for dance music- specifically disco and house. We asked the ‘Dudes’ to give us a new and exclusive track, and Feel Good appeared in our inboxes shortly thereafter. We then asked five other locals to remix the single, providing us a broad sampling of the dance music scene bubbling up from the underground here in South Florida. You can download all six tracks exclusively at Fordistas.com for free (see link after track players). … MORE
Young Marco
We discovered Young Marco after hearing his brilliant Soft Rocks remix and thus had to investigate a little further. There’s a 80s synthy sound to his music combined with some tribal and Afro elements giving it somewhat of an exotic feel. Sorry guys there aren’t any freebies offered through his soundcloud page but his music is definitely worth listening to and also worth a few bucks on Juno. … MORE
Dicky Trisco
This guy is absolutely fucking brilliant and after reading his bio below you’ll notice he spins and produces with all the current disco heavyweights – very legit but a little under the radar. We’re huge fans of Disco Deviance and love to feature anyone from their all-star roster. Take a sec to read more about TD and enjoy some quality edits. (And yes that is Giorgio Moroder’s Photoshopped face) … MORE
The KDMS
“The KDMS is an international supergroup – or rather super-duo. Consisting of a Polish native, Silesian-bred electronic wunderkind and massively talented producer and musician, Max Skiba and prolific British singer, the true disco diva for the 21st century, Kathy Diamond, the project is currently taking the world by storm through a string of hit singles for the ever-expanding Gomma label. The KDMS combine hypnotic rhythms with addictive pop melodies carrying clever lyrics – a rare achievement in todays formulaic world of club-inspired pop music. “Never Stop Believing” or “Tonight” are definitely bound to please for more than one season. The KDMS’ successfully fuse a sort of Slavic sensibility and ambiguity with typically British sophistication and a peculiar sense of humor.” … MORE
Rene Breitbarth
Given that music consumers have shifted from buying full albums to single tracks most producers these days don’t always offer an LP packed full o’ Jams. Rene Breitbarth‘s Arcade Decade is worth purchasing in its entirety. Thank you Mullet Records

Charanjit Singh
If you were to ask me about the origins of acid house before two days ago, I would of told you it started either in Chicago or some ancient druid castle squatted by neo-pagans in the hinterlands of Northern England. Phuture’s “Acid Tracks” released in 1987 is generally accepted as the first example of the genre but to learn about the true origins of acid we have to back a full five years and across the globe to India, I repeat, India:1982. I know, it sounds strange to believe but trust me on this one, it’s dope. … MORE

Beerlover
Beerlover brings to us some fresh disco inspired tracks straight from Brazil. This 19 year old formally known as Jonatan, takes french house to a new level by combining it with his Brazilian background. Beerlover‘s single, ‘Miss You’ earned him a spot on the UK french-house compilation ‘Never Say Never’ this past June and now he brings to us his latest release ‘You Can Imagine?’. Enjoy and stay tuned for some more music to come from south of the equator. … MORE
