One of my favorite jams of the last few months finally gets a proper 12″ release. Night Plane‘s Str8 2 Ur Heart is a beautiful, dreamy pop-house anthem which borrows the vocals from Beach House‘s 10 Mile Stereo off their latest Teen Dream album. For some reason every review of the song that I find on various vinyl distro sites incorrectly credits the vocals to Fleet Foxes and that irritates me. So I’m setting the record straight.
Anyway, it’s a real nice slice of modern deep house that needs to be played. Seems like the vinyl is sold out at the moment but keep your eyes peeled because it also includes the track Always the Same; an excellent balearic cut that lifts from Ariel Pink‘s Round and Round.
