Martin Brodin is one of those names that I find on my playlist quite often but had never researched properly. I’ve always enjoyed this Swede’s unique italo-boogie-analogue stylings simply because I feel that it effectively acts as a crossover between big-sounding house and disco hits and those slightly weirder tracks that I only wish would work in the dance clubs. Those who follow my disco sets may recognize that I regularly follow Jacque Renault’s remix of Beam Me Up with Brodin’s remix of See by Ilija Rudman. That’s because it usually works.
