About four years ago I had the pleasure of meeting one of the people responsible for kick starting the whole Swedish pop genre. Ola from SERVICE came to Miami to evade the Stockholm winter and we all ended up partying together for weeks. He loved our city so much he’s now become an official MIA snow bird and comes here every winter. He loves us and we love him so make sure you catch him DJing next time he’s in town.
I have so much respect for the Service Clan they were peddling Jens Lekman, The Tough Alliance, The Embassy, and Whitest Boy Alive stuff while Free Zone, Pop Lab, Gang Turf, and Permanent Vacation were still in diapers. Besides putting out some amazing music the label staff could not be any nicer. Now they’re celebrating their 10 year anniversary and have some pretty awesome offers on the table for you guys.
