Crypt Thing
August 9, 2011

For those of you unfamiliar with Living Tapes, they’re a label out of Los Angeles that prints music on original cassette tapes. One of their releases this year was Crypt Thing‘s Rotational Slumping (also a term for a landslide). The album is composed of 15 tracks ranging anywhere from 55 seconds to 3 min 45 seconds, all short but extremely sweet. Think nu funk, lo-fi, slow 80s synths, and overall good beats. I couldn’t find much biographical data except for the kid’s 18 and his home-base is Truro, Britain. The whole album in phenomenal.
