Jai Paul is a mystery to me. The guy came out with a pretty sick demo in ’07 which went rampant within the blog sphere almost 3 years later. “BTSTU” was written up by almost every major blog last year yet Paul failed to ever deliver a full album. XL Recordings (home to M.I.A., Tyler the Creator, The XX, Radiohead, etc) picked up the single back in April and released it both digitally and on vinyl. The track is kinda epic, an iTunes library jem. It’s classified as grime/ dubstep only because of it’s sawtoothed bass line and duple meter.
