No matter what your musical preference you can’t deny talent when you hear it. Erland and the Carnival possess that said talent. The lads from London are no strangers to the world they call music. Having been in some pretty awesome bands before they fell into this project; let’s see there’s Simon Tong (formerly of The Verve, Blur and The Good, the Bad & the Queen), Orcadian folk guitarist and singer Gawain “Erland” Cooper and Drummer/Engineer David Nock (The Orb, The Cult, Paul McCartneys’ The Fireman). I’d say their pretty well rounded. They blend American folk with their English/Scottish roots which comes out very nice indeed. Their “Trouble in Mind” EP (US only) was released last week on Full Time Hobby / Yep Roc.
Here are some interesting live performances of Erland and the Carnival – Worth a look!
