Mirror People
Mirror People is a project by DJ and producer Rui Maia from Portugal. As a member of X-Wife, he’s shared the stage with the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax, Gossip and the Arctic Monkeys. Specializing in analog synths and heavily influenced by New Order, Add n to (x), Giorgio Moroder and Suicide, Mirror People is definitely on the dancier side. Their remix of Neon Indian’s “Mind, Drips” first caught my attention with its smooth down-tempo italo-disco-meets-chillwave fusion. He has upcoming releases on Permanent Vacation, Brilliantine Records and Hands of Time, as well as a full-length LP.
